Renewal leave day:9 - Embarkment

Renewal Leave Day:9 - 6:39AM (MST)

On The Road

Good Day Friends! The last two days Diane and I have been roady's as we've traveled over 1,350 miles to reach our retreat spot in Arizona. Starting out on Sunday that threatened to be a blistery, cold sleety day, we quickly found ourselves driving out of the mix into gentler weather.

Our first day venture took us to Guymon OK as we settled in for the night having no trouble falling to sleep after such a long day. After a short night, we were back on the road again for travel day 2 of wonderland scenery as we made our way southwest to our destination. Here are some pics along the way...

Much of the 2nd day was found weaving amongst the mesas in New Mexico. Beautiful country!
Mesas right and left
Learned something today as we wondered what the flat topped hills are - "mezas"
Mountains peek over the mesa on the distant horizon

Our hope is to see the Grand Canyon and other sites as we rest and enjoy the adventure. Who knows, maybe we'll catch that road runner along the way.

Yesterday God encountered me as we drove. It was a layered recognition of God's presence via the beautiful scenery testifying to God's creative power, the song "

" by Michael W. Smith that was playing, the richness of simple time spent with Diane as she took her turn driving, and the reflective reading of . "IF GRACE BE TRUE"

that delves into the grace of God and challenges our limited perspective. I find it to be a daring game changer in faith.

So it wasn't long before I found myself lost in the moment as I realized I was deepening my relationship with God... what a coincidence. LOL.

May your day be filled with many blessings that burst forth in simple, profound ways.

Love, in Christ - your pastor, brother, and friend.

See you on the journey my friends - PJ.
